Frequently asked questions
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
People often come to therapy when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to make sense of what they’re experiencing.
You don’t need to be in crisis to begin.
If something in your life feels hard to understand or carry alone, that can be enough reason to start.
What if I don’t know what to say?
That’s completely normal.
Therapy doesn’t require you to arrive with clarity. In fact, part of the work is often finding words for things that haven’t been fully spoken before.
Silence, uncertainty, and repetition are all part of how the process unfolds.
How long does therapy take?
There isn’t a fixed timeline.
Some people come for a relatively short period to work through a specific difficulty. Others stay longer as part of ongoing reflective work.
We can think about this together as we go along.
Is online therapy effective?
For many people, yes.
What matters most is the quality of the relationship and the consistency of the work, rather than physical location.
That said, it does depend on having a private and stable space to speak freely.
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?
This is more common than people think.
Sometimes it’s about timing. Sometimes it’s about fit. Sometimes it’s about the type of work that was being done.
It can be worth revisiting what didn’t work and what you might need differently.
